Feeling Punchy

Published by Darlene McCallum under Card Samples

 Stampin Up True Friend

Well today was the day I was going to organize my stamping table. Really!

To be fair, I did put away a few punches before I took them out again to make this card. Oh, well, maybe tomorrow I can get organized.

Eyelet Borderr punch To create the punched square, I used the Eyelet Border punch, $22.95, #113693, page 187,. The Melon Mambo piece is 3-1/4" square and the black Groom Specialty paper is 3" square.  Using the guides on the punch, make sure the piece is centered as you punch in from each edge.

Now, you may be thinking, her stamping table doesn’t look like my stamping table. Want to compare tables? Scroll down to look at mine!

Holiday Lounge Ornament

Stampin' Up! Delightful Decorations

I am loving this new Holiday Lounge designer series paper. The colours are defintely non- traditional.

This card uses Ruby Red with Kraft. I punched with the Ornament Punch on Kraft cardstock and then stamped a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Ruby Red ink. I layered onto Ruby Red cardstock and then added dimensionals for extra height. The base of the card is Ruby Red, Kraft and two designs from the Holiday Lounge dsp. I punched holes using the Crop-A-Dile and threaded Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon through before knotting the ribbon.

Dasher in a Flash

Stampin' Up! Dasher

I love Dasher, this "under $12" stamp featured on the last page of the main catalogue.  It is a real bargain for only $10.95.

To make this card, I used the Holiday Lounge designer series paper in two different patterns. After gluing them to the Whisper White cardstock layered onto Taken with Teal, I tied white satin ribbon around the papers.  To finish, I stamped Dasher in Taken with Teal ink and mounted the image onto layered cardstock in Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Taken with Teal.

Easy peasy!

BONUS: Place an order of $75 before shipping and tax by October 31st and I will add Dasher to your order at no cost.  Place your order online or e-mail me.

Pop-Up Ornament

Stampin Up Four the Holidays

This card will pop-up out of the envelope and delight the recipient!

I had made a card similar to this for Valentines Day with the heart punch and as soon as I saw the ornament punch I knew I needed to make a Christmas version.

To start, I folded Pretty in Pink cardstock in half and stamped my greeting along the bottom with Gold Encore ink. This greeting is one of four in the Holiday Mini stamp set – Four the Holidays, $18.95, #116921, page 19.

Next, I punched a scallop edge on Whisper White cardstock and layered Soft Suede and Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper on top.  I glued a piece of Soft Suede ribbon to the back of the card and wrapped gold cord around the ribbon several times and knotted it underneath.

Stampin' Up! Ornament Punch

To make the pop-up ornament, I punched 8 ornaments from the Christmas Cocoa dsp. Each ornament was folded in half. Then I glued the ornaments to one another by attaching a folded half to the folded half of the next ornament. The completed pop-up ornament was glued onto a punched piece of soft suede cardstock to give it more stability. I tied gold cord around the top of the ornament and glued the end of the cord to the back of the layered cardstock pieces of Whisper White and Pretty in Pink. Using dimensionals, I layered this piece onto another layered piece of Soft Suede and Christmas Cocoa.

Stampin' Up! pop-up card

This card will fit into an envelope. Here I used a clear envelope to show how it looks folded.
