Flower Fest Stamp Set Card

This card features both new and retiring products. The 5/8″ grosgrain ribbons are all on the Last Chance List including the Early Espresso ribbon (119955) that I used here, one of my favorites. If you are a ribbon hound like me, check out all of the retiring ribbons including some reduced by 25% by clicking here, then on accessories.

Only 4 days left to order retiring products!

I used the Flower Fest stamp set (wood 122278, clear 122280) for this card with Rose Red, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso inks. I love the bold images in this set for layered stamping. I coloured the center of each stamped image with a sponge dauber and the same colour of ink.

I also used the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch to make a baroque looking border for this card.  This punch is definitely one of the first items you will want to order from the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue.

Catalogues will be in the mail tomorrow or as soon as Canada Post cooperates. Included with the catalogue are monthly coupons and Ink Crowd tracking sheets. Start watching your mailboxes.

Oh, so masculine … The Open Sea

Oh, so masculine … The Open Sea

The Open Sea Stamp Set Card

Today’s card is one of the projects we made last night at Viola’s workshop. Thanks  to all of the ladies who attended. I had fun meeting each of you and sharing our time stamping some projects.

This card is a great masculine card using some of the Summer Mini Catalogue products – The Open Sea stamp set (wood #123030 or clear #123032), Early Espresso Baker’s Twine (123124) and the Nautical Expedition designer series paper (122343).

One of the topics we discussed last night at the workshop is that we tend to buy alot of floral stamp sets and seem to not have a masculine set when we need it. My favourite two sets for masculine cards are Lovely As a Tree (115026) and this one, The Open Sea.

Do you have male influenced stamp sets in your collection? If not, purchase one today so you are ready to make great cards for the men in your life for every occasion.

Flower Garden Embossing Folder

Flower Garden Embossing Folder

Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

I love messy stamping! Today I just had to get my hands dirty. I was smooshing craft ink on paper, had embossing powder from one end of the table to the other and generally just left a huge mess everywhere. And it felt good!

Cleaning up didn’t feel so good but a clean work surface is just a reason to start again, right?!

For this “messy” card, I embossed on Basic Black cardstock with the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the Big Shot and sprayed Silver Foil Smooch Spritz over the cardstock. Once dry, I layered the Basic Black cardstock onto Brushed Silver cardstock and added a length of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding to the card.

Next, I adhered this piece to a card of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

To finish, I added “Thanks” from the Thank You Kindly stamp set and circle punched the greeting. The “bow” is three pieces of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding held together with a Silver Glimmer Brad

This ended up being a really simple card to make. If you needed an elegant thank you card for a wedding, anniversary, business or just because, I recommend this one.

Delicate Doilies with Flirtatious Sneak Peek

Delicate Doilies with Flirtatious Sneak Peek

Delicate Doilies stamp set with Flirtatious paper

Flirtatious is another of the new product suites featured in the upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue.

Included in the suite is Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper and Delicate Doilies stamp set both of which I used for this card. Also included in the suite is the new Lace Ribbon border punch and matching Flirtatious fabric. You’re going to love it!

The colours in the Flirtatious designer series paper are Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White.

For this card, I also used the new Perfect Pennants die for the Big Shot to create the scallop circle die cuts that I placed behind the Melon Mambo stamped doily.  These circle are pretty on their own and fabulous when layered together.

My Friend and the Pocketful of Posies Suite

My Friend and the Pocketful of Posies Suite

My Friend Stamp Set and the Pocketful of Posies Paper

I am so excited to share my first sneak peek from the new 2011-2012 Stampin’ Up! Canada catalogue with you.

This card features two new products – the My Friend stamp set and the Pocketful of Posies designer series paper. I know these are going to be two of my favoruites.

The My Friends stamp set is a set of 5. Shown here are the large stems, the circle stamp and the “my friend” greeting. The set also includes a set of teardrops and a stylized “hello” that is worth purchasing this set for all by itself.

I’ve also used the Pocketful of Posies designer series paper for this card. The paper includes Rich Razzleberry which I have used here as well as Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Whisper White. Whoo! That’s quite the list of colours but I think it makes me like this paper even more. Every page is unique and you know you are getting your monies worth.

Both the paper and the stamp set are part of the new Pocketful of Posies Product Suite. Stampin’ Up! introduces several new product suites in this catalogue including Domestic Goddess, Big Top, Timeless Portrait, Nursery Nest, Berry Blossoms, Flirtatious, Well Worn and more!

I know that you can’t wait to see all of the new product suites so be sure to click here and request your free 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue today!
