Simple Saturday with Free Sale A Bration Sets

Sweet Summer and So Happy For You

I have to admit to looking forward to Simple Saturdays. My challenge to myself is to create a card in 5-10 minutes. That means the card needs to be quick and simple. This card was probably closer to the 5 minute mark but I have to admit that I was so into creating it that I forgot to time myself.

For this Simple Saturday card, I used the 1-3/8" circle punch to create circles from various patterns in the Lap of Luxury designer series paper. On the almost solid Pretty in Pink paper, I stamped an image from the Sweet Summer stamp set in Basic Gray ink. To the image, I added three small Basic Rhinestones for a little bling. I stamped a greeting from the So Happy for You stamp set at the bottom of the card to finish it.

Both the Sweet Summer and So Happy For You stamp sets are free during Sale A Bration this month.

A Sweet Summer in Melon Mambo

Sweet Summer Card in Melon Mambo

My Dreaming About Rubber Stamps team held a shoebox swap on Saturday and this is the card I shared for everyone to make.

As the swap was Sale-A-Bration themed, I used the Sweet Summer stamp set, (W121849, C123214),  a Melon Mambo paper from the Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper & Quick Accent Pack (122242) and a Melon Mambo button from the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack (123529). And right now, you can choose your free Stampin’ Up! product from these three items and more with a $60 order.

Sale A Bration – So Happy For You

So Happy for You SaleA Bration Card

This is another very simple card featuring the So Happy For You stamp set which is also a free stamp set choice during Sale A Bration.

To make this card, I created a Very Vanilla card and stamped the "birthday wishes" greeting from So Happy For You along the bottom right in Baja Breeze ink. And that’s the only stamping involved!

Next,  I punched a piece of Baja Breeze cardstock with the Scallop Trim Border punch. Over that I layered more Very Vanilla cardstock with a Baja Breeze patterned paper from the Springtime Vintage designer series paper package.

Finally, I tied a bow of Very Vanilla satin ribbon and adhered a Rosette on top of the knot. To that I added a Basic Rhinestone. And I was finshed!

Tip: Make several of these cards without the greeting. As you need a card, you can stamp whichever So Happy For You greeting is needed: so happy for you, good luck, birthday wishes, thinking of you or thanks. A great time saver!

Stamps: So Happy For You (W121853, C123220)

Inks: Baja Breeze (111833)

Paper: Springtime Vintage DSP (121782), Baja Breeze (111352), Very Vanilla (101650)

Punches: Scallop Trim Border (118402)

Other: Very Vanilla 5/8” Satin Ribbon (117291) 11”, Basic Rhinestones (119246), Rosettes (118774

Sale A Bration Card – Punch Bunch

Punch Bunch Sale A Bration Card

This card uses the new Punch Bunch stamp set from page 5 of the Sale A Bration catalogue. You can earn this stamp set free with any $60 order.

To make this card, I used the Fancy Flower Punch twice – once in Daffodil Delight cardstock and once in the Sweet Stitches designer series paper. I crumpled up the flowers and then adhered them to another patterned piece of Sweet Stiches designer series paper that I had already layered onto Early Espresso cardstock and added Wild Wasabi stems and leaves. The leaves were also punched from the Fancy Flower punch and then cut down with scissors. I also crumpled up the leaves before adding then to the card.

I wrapped Early Espresso 5/8" grosgrain ribbon around this piece and added a length of the Pompom Trim in Daffodil Delight on top. The Pompom Trims are so cute! You need to add one of these to your order!

Next, I stamped the "true friend" greeting onto Crumb Cake cardstock with Early Espresso ink. Then, I punched it out with the 1" circle punch and added it to the card with a dimensional. Finally, I then made an Early Espresso button with the Sweet Buttons embosslit and added it to the card with a dimensional after adding a bow of linen thread.

This card is probably more shabby chic then most of my cards. Please leave a comment and let me know if you like it!

Sale-A-Bration – Sweet Summer Sneak Peek

Sweet Summer Sale-A-Bration Card

Isn’t this card cheerful?

I used another of the free Sale-A-Bration sets for this card – the Sweet Summer stamp set. I told you it would be difficult to choose a favourite set so it’s a good thing you can earn more than one!

One of my favourite colour combinations is Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade so I decided to use those colours for this card. I made a Framed Tulip embossing folder frame in Pear Pizzazz and added a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock inside the frame.  Next, I added a piece of striped Pear Pizzazz paper from the Springtime Vintage designer series paper package. The stem was stamped onto Glossy White cardstock with Black StazOn ink and then coloured in with inks and a Blender Pen. I stamped the three flowers onto another piece of Glossy White cardstock and after colouring theim, I cut them out and applied them to the card with dimensionals. In addition to Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade, I also use Daffodil Delight ink to colour the flowers. I added Pear Pizzazz seam binding to hide where the two papers joined before I added a "thanks" greeting from the So Happy For You stamp set, another Sale-A-Bration freebie.  I think this card would really brighten someone’s day, don’t you?

I made this card for my Dars Team meeting last Saturday. It is one of four projects we made in addiiton to demonstrations, business talk and swapping. With All My Heart

Stampin' Up! With All My Heart

I think this may be my favourite designer series paper – EVER!

I hope you can see the glitter on the pink heart and background paper. That fabulous sparkle is part of the design of the paper so no messy glue is required. And each page has glitter on one side so you are receiving 12 glittery sheets, 2 each of 6 designs for $15.95. Love it!

This card is just a little dressed up but not so complicated that you couldn’t make a bunch of these. If you, like me, didn’t send out as many Christmas cards as you wanted to, break with tradition and send Valentine’s cards this year instead. Since people receive so many less personal cards this time of year, your thoughtfulness will really stand out.

For this card, I stamped the greeting from the With All My Heart stamp set in Real Red Classic Ink.  Then I snipped the prongs off the back of a Sending Love Real Red Epoxy Brad heart design and adhered it over the little stamped heart with a stampin’ dimensional. Next, I punched the Scallop Trim Edge punch along the Real Red cardstock and layered Whisper White cardstock and Sending Love Specialty designer series paper on top.  You can see the Sending Love Collection on pages 12 and 13 of the Occasions Mini catalogue.  Click Here to see the Occasions Mini catalogue.

Next, I created a scallop heart with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and punched a Full Heart from the Sending Love designer series paper. To finish, I tied the layered cardstock with Real Red Satin Ribbon and created a cardstock square to help highlight the heart. Adhere it all together and you are done!

Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it so get started today! I am!
