I made the card above but wasn’t quite happy with it. But I really wasn’t sure what I didn’t like.
After looking at it for a few days I decided to ask for a second opinion. Since my sister was visiting, I showed her card and asked her thoughts. Her response – "It’s yellow, you don’t like yellow. Was the fix really that simple?
So, I replaced the Summer Starfruit flower with one in Midnight Muse and decided to re-evaluate. And you know what. I think that might have been my issue. I also changed out the punched Bitty Butterfly to Primrose Petal and added a short string of pearls.
The rest of the card is Gumball Green – both the card stock and the patterned papers from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.
So, which card do you prefer – the yellow or the pink? Is there a colour that just doesn’t work for you?
Punches: Bitty Butterfly (129406)
I added a punched Primrose Petals butterfly with pearls to this card as an accent in one corner.
The Bitty Butterfly is anchored to a Designer Builder Brad from the Spring Catalogue which retires on May 31st.
As a poor gardener, I can’t identify all of the flowers in this set but I know I love the variety.
