Two Tone Painted Petals

Painted Petals Card with Two Tone Flowers

I really like the look of this card with two tone flowers from the Painted Petals stamp set.

After stamping the flowers in Calypso Coral ink and the stems in Wild Wasabi ink, I added a circle of Crushed Curry ink to the center of each flower with a sponge dauber. This muted the Calypso Coral ink and allows the Crushed Curry to show through.

The layers of card stock are Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Calypso Coral and Whisper White. On the Calypso Coral layer, I added a greeting also from Painted Petals in Early Espresso ink.

The Crushed Curry ribbon and Calypso Coral button are both from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack exclusively available during Sale-a-bration 2015 on right now.  I added a small bow of Early Espresso Baker’s Twine to tie all the colors together and to make the button look finished.

There are so many different looks that you can create with the Painted Petals stamp set. You can see two more samples I made here and here. I love the versatility of this stamp set and how easy it is to create unique cards every time you use it.

I think this card is beautiful. I love all the colors you used. I just order this stamp set from my demonstrator. I hope I do as good as you did.

Love your stamping style and color choice. Thanks for explaining how you accomplished such a cool 2-tone look.
