I just love this new Nouveau Chic Designer Series Paper.
The card above was stamped with the Medallion background stamp, an absolute favourite of mine. I stamped with Basic Black ink onto Sage Shadow cardstock and then a second time on white cardstock and punched the center with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.
I embellished with the new Black Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and the Nouveau Chic DSP. The Teeny Tiny Wishes greeting is stamped onto Whisper White with Basic Black ink and then punched with the Word Window. The layering piece was punched from the Nouveau Chic DSP with the Modern Label punch.

For the second card, I used the Big Shot Lattice die. I saved the cutout pieces and adhered the squarish pieces back inside the Lattice ensuring the opposite pattern was showing.
The black Vintage brads were the perfect accent and really highlight the Lattice. I finished the card with the same black ribbon and punches this time using Very Vanila cardstock to soften the card a bit.

Weekend stamping can be just like weekends themselves. Taking it easy and enjoying every minute. This card fits that description – it came together quickly and easily and I am happy with the finished result.
My order from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue arrived yesterday and today I had time to create. Here I used the new Big Shot bigz die – Lattice. Isn’t it pretty?!
I embellished with flatback pearls from the Pretties kit and white and razzleberry ribbons. To finish, I stamped a Teeny Tiny Wishes greeting and punched with the Modern Label punch. I really love this new greeting set.

Inspiration comes from so many places. Only after I finished this card did I realize that my coffee cup was the same colour.

This is a Hidden Message card. Lift the top flap and a message is hidden underneath for the recipient.
Carefully position the two pieces of cardstock on the front of the card and determine where it will need to be punched for the hinge.
Punch and insert the Build-A-Brad. Use adhesive to attach bottom piece only avoiding the brad so the hinged piece will swing completely.
Attach stamped image piece using dimensionals only in the left and right upper corners. Attach greeting to the card.

I really like the way the Build-A-Brad looks on this card. If you haven’t used them before, I have listed the steps below.

The Build-A-Brad comes in two pieces, the brad base and the clear overlay.

Designed to fit the 1/2″ Circle punch, your image can be stamped and punched out easily.

Attach the stamped image to the top of the brad base using Mini Glue Dots or other adhesive.

Finish the Build-A-Brad by putting the clear overlay on top. This piece has adhesive on the back and sticks quickly. You can cover stamped images, pieces of Designer Series paper, Wrapping paper, etc.

This little robot just cried out for some bolts in the shaker piece.
I used the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set Lots of Bots and the new In Colors Dusty Durango and Soft Suede for this card. Never made a shaker card? They are fun cards to make and to give. Follow the tutorial below to make your own shaker card.

Draw a pencil line across the middle of the square piece of cardstock that will be the shaker. My cardstock piece is 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. Line up the pencil line with the tabs on the 1-3/4″ Circle punch and be sure it is centered at the sides.

Place strips of Sticky Strip around the edge of the cardstock.

Peel the backing off the Sticky Strip and adhere a square piece of Window Sheet.

Place dimensionals or mounting tape all around the window. The smaller your shaker items the tighter the frame will need to be so the items do not escape out the gaps.

Peel off the backing on the dimensionals and add the shaker filling. I added 7 nuts in the 4-40 size.

Stamp your image and colour.

Image face down, place the stamped image onto the dimensionals. Complete card and adhere shaker box to card front.

Today’s card features a guest stamper, Carolyn Williamson. Carolyn is a fellow team member and a wonderful friend.
Carolyn used the new Level 2 stamp set – Asian Artistry to re-create this card from the catalogue. Isn’t it beautiful? The colours used are Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Bashful Blue. I love all of the Hostess sets in new catalogue and can’t wait to earn them all.
