Simple Saturday – Friends 24-7

Stampin Up Canada Friends 24-7

I love the versatility of this stamp set, Friends 24-7.

Today’s card is a great “Thinking of You” card but with a different greeting could easily be a masculine birthday card. And it was quick and easy making it a perfect Simple Saturday card.

I stamped the bird and greeting from Friends 24-7 – $34.96, set of 6, page 100 – in Not Quite Navy ink.   The matching wheel, Friendly Words was wheeled with Sahara Sand ink.  The cardstocks I used are Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. I also used Bella Bleu designer series paper and knotted linen thread in square Not Quite Navy Fresh Favorites I.Stampin Up Canada Fresh Favorites Buttons

Fresh Favorites I Buttons, $9.25 for about 80 buttons in 2 sizes of squares and circles. Colours in this set are Apricot Appeal, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery and Tempting Turquoise.

Punch It Up! Two Cards, One Look

Punch It Up! Two Cards, One Look

Stampin up Punch

Although I do not want the weather to change, I am having so much fun creating Christmas cards with my new Stampin’ Up! products!

When you’re ready to start planning and creating your Christmas cards, give me a call at 1.866.472.8207 or e-mail me for your card consultation. Or, get your friends or co-workers together for a fun, one hour or less Christmas Card Express class

Today’s card’s are stamp free. I used only punches, paper and acessories to create these easy cards.

Stampin Up Ornament Punch

This first card uses Soft Suede, Kraft and Real Red cardstocks with Christmas Cocoa designer series paper (116770) from the Holiday Mini.  After punching with the Ornament punch (116794) and Real Red cardstock, I layered it onto crimped Christmas Cocoa paper using dimensionals for added height.

A different pattern of Christmas Cocoa paper was used as a horizontal border. Sleigh Bells ribbon (116795) and Real Red brads (106957 – Bold Brights) were used to embellish the card and add more colour.

Stampin Up Jumbo Snowflake Punch

This card follows the same layout but uses Certainly Celery in place of the Real Red. I also used Soft Suede, Kraft and Christmas Cocoa paper on this second card with Certainly Celery 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon (109050) and Fresh Favourites I buttons (107421).

A Jumbo Snowflake punch (116628) was layered onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430). I like the versatility of this card – it can be used all winter and would be a great bithday or thank you card as well as Christmas.

Shimmery Lovely Flowers

Stampin Up Lovely Lines

I am having so much fun playing with the new Shimmer Paints featured in the Holiday Mini. I mixed the Shimmer Paint with a drop of Rich Razzlberry re-inker and painted it onto the stamped image. It dries quite quickly and leaves a beautiful shimmer.

I tried it with both the Frost White and Champagne Mist colours and preferred the Champagne Mist mix as it seemed more translucent and shimmery. Very pretty!

Stampin Up Lovely LinesI stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock with a flower image from the Flower Lines stamp set, included in the Level 3 Hostess Bundle, using Rich Razzleberry ink.  The Lovely Flowers Bundle includes the stamp set with 4 images, 9 sheets of matching designer series paper and 2 sheets of Rub-Ons.

Stampin Up Shimmer Paint

Using a paintbrush to apply it, I put a drop of Shimmer Paint onto a plastic lid and then put a drop of Rich Razzleberry re-inker beside the Shimmer Paint. With the paintbrush, I mixed the two together until I had the colour and consistency I wanted.

As a Stampin’ Up Hostess, you can earn the Lovely Flowers Bundle FREE with a workshop of $655. Plus, you will receive an additional $80 in hostess awards to spend in the catalogue.

And until November 30, Stampin’ Up! hostesses can choose an item from the Holiday Mini for only $14 at their $330 workshop. What are you waiting for? Call me today at 780.472.8200 to book your workshop. Get your friends together to stamp some great cards and have fun!

Simple Saturday Make Merry!

Simple Saturday Make Merry!

Stampin Up Berry Christmas

This Simple Saturday card features the new Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series paper from the Holiday Mini.  The colours in this paper are Real Red and Soft Suede. Some of the papers are flocked and others have a metallic finish. They are really pretty!

To make this card, I layered Real Red onto Soft Suede and then used two of the patterns from Christmas Cocoa to make a third layer and wrapped Soft Suede grosgrain ribbon around the layer.

I stamped images from the Berry Christmas stamp set, $30.95, set of 8, page 20 of the Holiday Mini.  The images include a wreath, snowflake, bow, pointsettia and center in addition to the bird, branch and greeting I used here.

This would be an easy card to make “assembly line style” for your Christmas Cards. Please contact me for help designing your cards and ordering the supplies.

Many Merry Tags

Many Merry Tags

 Stampin Up Merry Embosslit

Aren’t these little Christmas tags adorable? And they are so easy to make.

Featured in the new Holiday Mini catalogue are two new embosslits for the Big Shot. The first is Merry, the tag itself, $15.95, #116820. The second is called Merry Details, $7.50, #116823 and creates all of the cute trees, birds and snowflakes shown on the tags.

I made 20 tags in about 20 minutes. Since it is so quick, this year I won’t be wrapping my gifts at the last minute.

Did you notice the tags made from the Wood Sheets seen on page 158 of the catalogue. I love these wood sheets! They are very thin and easy to work with. I had no problems running them through the Big Shot to make these tags. And won’t they look great on my gifts?

The rest of the tags were created using cardstock in Shimmery White, Real Red, Always Artichoke and Brushed Gold. I tied the individual tags with the Hemp Twine and the cello bag with the Sleigh Bells ribbon from the Holiday Mini, a new favourite of mine.

For this second set of tags, I used the Wood Sheets with Shimmery White, Night of Navy and Bashful Blue cardstocks. The tags were tied with the silver Elastic Cord and Night of Navy Grosgrain ribbon.
