I woke up this morning and had to use Crushed Curry. I just had to! I couldn’t think about anything else. Weird.
So I didn’t make just one card, I made two. Both of these cards use exactly the same products but the finished cards are very different. I think a mistake lots of first time stampers make is to buy lots of stamp sets. You really are better off with fewer stamp sets investing instead in more accessories.
You can create alot of looks from one stamp set by changing the colours and embellishments. Like I did with these two cards.

Wacky Marbles Technique – even the name is fun! This technique uses products that you probably already own.
See the step by step instructions below.
For this card, I used Whisper White shimmer paint first and then added a second coat of Rose Red re-inker. You can also use only re-inkers for a different look. Please let me know if you have any questions on this technique.

Using a stamp storage case or a plastic container, add several marbles to the case.

Attach a ¼ sheet of cardstock to the lid of storage case using adhesive. Snap lid closed tightly. Roll the marbles in the shimmer paint or ink until well coated.

Flip the case upside down and roll the inked marbles onto your cardstock. Use only one colour at a time to prevent muddy ink. You will get about 15 card fronts from 6 drops of ink.
The samples below are Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on
Regal Rose and Whisper White cardstock. Subtle but very pretty.

These next samples are Frost White Shimmer Paint with Rose Red re-inkers on the same cardstocks.

I love the look of Pinwheel cards and I have received a lot of beautiful samples in swaps. So I decided it was time to make my own. Once I took a good look at how a Pinwheel card is made, I realized it was simpler than I thought.
You need 2 squares of cardstock or paper 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ and 8 squares of cardstock or paper 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″. These squares can be cut out or punched with the 1-1/4″ sqaure punch. Here I used two different paper patterns for the smaller squares.
Follow the instructions below to make the pinwheel and then add a center embellishment to the pinwheel to make it look finished. You can use a brad, button, eyelet or even cardstock to make the center.
Try it and see how quickly you will be making your own Pinwheel cards.

Cut two squares of cardstock 2-5/8” x 2-5/8” and overlap the squares diagonally.

Apply adhesive to one corner of the punched square and place as shown. The corner with glue should be on the outside.

Using a contrasting pattern, adhere the next piece of paper.

Continue until only one square remains.

Tuck the final square behind the first square to finish.
