This card uses no stamps and no ink.
Instead I cut a tulipe die from Island Oasis designer series paper and added chunky essential glitter behind it.
To embellish the card, I made little loops in the Tempting Turquoise ribbon and added two small halfback white pearls from the Pretties Kit.
Adding the glitter was easy and makes the card extra special, don’t you think?
Enjoy your Sunday!

Paper: Island Oasis DSP, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Big Shot: Tulipe Bigz Die
Other: Chunky Sprinkles Glitter, Tempting Turquoise 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon, Pretties Kit, Sticky Pages, Powder Pal

With the Tulipe Bigz die for the Big Shot, a Stampin’ Up! exclusive, cut the paper being careful to center it. This piece is 5″ x 5″.

Cut a sticky page to a square slightly smaller than the paper. Peel off one side and adhere to the back of the paper. As the stick page will stick to paper, I choose to work in my Powder Pal.

Apply the chunky glitter to the front of the card. For better coverage, press the glitter down with your fingers. Shake off the excess and return to the container.

It’s Magic!
These cool new Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Papers from Stampin’ Up! are white with a glossy white design on them. Each package has 12 papers – 2 each of 6 designs and the papers are a heavy cover-weight. You can use them as they are or you can colour them and let the design show through. That’s the magic part!
Here I used a sponge inked up with Regal Rose to colour the paper. You can also colour them with Smooch Spritz or use a brayer or aqua painter with your inks.
Aren’t these papers fun? I remember having a similar product as a kid but these designs are so elegant that I remember I’m all grown up.
To complete this card, I stamped one of the greetings from the Favorite Thoughts stamp set and added three bitty buttons in various shapes underneath the ribbon. To make the bitty buttons stand out a bit, I punched Rose red cardstock in the corresponding shapes to go underneath. I added faux thread to each button with the white gel pen to finish.

These two cards feature the same layout, same stamps and same accessories. The difference is in the colours of ink and cardstock used on each.
I’m always surprised by how a simple alteration to a card can create a completely different looking card. I think the night of navy card is more elegant yet the two are almost identical.
I stamped a Whisper White piece of cardstock with the Watercolor Trio images in various colours and included generational stamping. Then, I punched the cardstock with the 1-1/4″ square. If you have too much white on one of the squares, add a butterfly stamped in a light ink colour.
Happy stamping!

Collage stamping is a simple technique that is one of favourites. This technique is the layering of images and inks.
The Sentimental Journey stamp set I used here is perfect for collage stamping. A set of 8, it has a variety of sizes and types of images perfect for layering.
I prefer to start with the largest images and then work my way down to the smaller images. This allows me to fill in white space as I work towards the finished product. I also prefer to use the darkest ink colours with the smaller stamps so the collage is not overwhelmed.
You really can’t go wrong with this technique. Try it today!

Don’t you just think warm weather and lots of tropical fun when you see this Island Oasis designer series paper from the Summer Mini catalogue?
Here I used the Island Oasis paper with the coordinating stamp set, Tropical Party, to make a mini album. This album is so simple to create.
I ran a square of the Island Oasis designer series paper through my Big Shot with the Petal Card die. Next, I cut a piece of cardstock to 2-1/2″ x 10″ and scored at 2-1/2″, 5″ and 7-1/2″ to make the foldout page inside the album.
Lastly, I cut a strip of Old Olive cardstock 3/4″ x 7-1/4″ to make the belly band closure.

This is the album open to the front page of the foldout cardstock piece. I stamped the front panel with Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie flowers from the Tropical Party stamp set.

This picture shows the inside page extended. I cut squares of designer paper to 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ and adhered them to the foldout page between the score lines. Then I added a stamped and punched circle and square as embellishments.
