Elements of Style in Black and White

I absolutely love making black and white cards. I can still remember the first black and white stamped card I ever saw since it made such an impression on me.

Black and white cards are so elegant and seem to come together quickly since I am only focused on using the two colours (and some may argue only one colour since white doesn’t count).

And when I think of elegant cards, the Elements of Style stamp set is usually the first set that comes to my mind.

For this card. I stamped the large floral image onto Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink and let it dry. Then, I embossed the Finial Press embossing folder over the stamped piece with the Big Shot. Although this card would have looked okay without the embossing, I think the added texture makes the card special.

So what about you? Are you a fan of black and white cards? Please leave a comment and let me know. Thanks!

Back from our Hawaiian Vacation

Back from our Hawaiian Vacation

Outrigger Reef Room 1239

This has been the view from my “office” for 15 days. Can you spot the surfers?

Thanks to a bonus I received from Stampin’ Up!, my family spent Spring Break and an extra week in Waikiki at the Outrigger Reef hotel. It was the best vacation ever!

Unfortunately, I arrived home on Saturday with a wicked cold/flu and slept for 39 hours. What do they put in the air on planes?

I tried to keep up with e-mails and reply while I was gone. If you did not receive your reply thanks to wonky wi-fi, please let me know.

Want to know how you can treat your family to a Hawaiian vacation thanks to your income as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?
