This is a clean and simple card that can be made in just a few minutes. One stamped image, two colors – Old Olive and Basic Black with Whisper White with a few quick cardstock cuts. Add a minimum of accessories – Black Rhinestones and a 1-1/2″ wide piece of designer series paper from Merry Little Christmas (that’s 16 cards from each piece of 12″ x 12″ paper).

Here is my first Halloween card for the year. When buying for Halloween, I look for versatility – can I create cards, projects,tags and treats? I want a stamp set that can do it all.
Spooky Cat is a set of 18 stamps that includes a tag, greetings, witches’ hat, owl and of course, the cat. And best of all, a matching Cat Punch that can be used year round.
I kept with a circle theme for the card and used the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder (143709) and Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372) to create the background.

Why do you create? To get away and have some quiet time? The satisfaction of a finished project? To forget the stress of the day? Time out with fellow stampers? This sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set covers it all – Do Something Creative Every Day.
I stamped the pens and greeting from Crafting Forever (wood 143955, clear 143958) with Basic Black ink and then added the three stripes of color with images from Happy Celebrations (143012). If you haven’t check out this stamp set yet there are some great background stamps included in this set. And don’t forget the matching Celebrations Duo Embossing Folders (142760).
The ink colours used were Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral. To finish the card, I added the greeting on a piece of cardstock made with the Pretty Label Punch (143715) and complementary coloured sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment (144212).

Don’t judge me but I love pigs. In fact one of the very first gifts my husband gave me was a stuffed pig. His name is Norman and he sits on my desk.
So … can you guess which stamp set was near the top of my new catalogue wish list? Yep. This Little Piggy. I love these little guys. This is a set of 9 that includes four oh so adorable pigs as well as some cheerful fonted (is that even a word?) greetings for both the inside and outside of your cards.

I stamped the pig with ink from the Basic Gray Archival Pad and then coloured the body with Powder Pink ink and a Blender Pen. The rest of the card was coloured with Basic Gray, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron markers from the Many Marvelous Markers set.
The card is Early Espresso with a middle layer of Whisper White and a top layer of Powder Pink from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Stack. The stack includes 40 sheets in all five of the new In Colors and I’ve used it a lot.
Next, I added a 1″ wide strip of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and a 2-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ square of Shimmery White cardstock that was stamped with the piggy – both also layered onto Early Espresso cardstock.

You won’t mind life’s lemons if they’re the Stampin’ Up! variety.
This card was made with the Lemon Zest Bundle which pairs the stamp set with Lemon Builder Punch. The colours are Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black.
The top layer of the card was embossed with the new Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This folder is really versatile and creates a background that can be used often.
I punched the lemons twice in each of Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz adding the greeting to one of the lemons. After putting all of the pieces together I added two Rhinestone Basic Jewels and two loops of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon. This ribbon has just a touch of shimmer that adds elegance to any card.

Closed the card measures 5-1/2″ tall by 3-3/4″ wide. The circle with the attached lemons is adhered to the card so that is measures 4-1/4″ wide and fits a medium envelope.

Snow and snowflakes are a big part of life here abut I never look forward to the winter weather. A fresh dusting at Christmas is beautiful but the rest – shovelling, bad roads, slippery sidewalks, the cold. Ugh!
But strangely enough I love snowflakes for my card making. And Stampin’ Up! never let’s me down. Let me introduce you to this year’s snowflake stamp set – Snowflake Sentiments (wood 144178, clear 144820).
