No one will ever call me a farm girl but the Home to Roost stamp set was at the very top of my Sale-a-bration wish list. I just love this rooster. You can choose to colour him as I did for this card or not.

I have to confess that if given the choice between coffee and tea, I will choose coffee every time.
But as a kid, I remember that on Sundays after church we were allowed to drink tea. There was at least as much milk as there was tea in the cup but it was still a big deal.
And tea cup stamps hold a special memory for me as well. The very first card I ever stamped used a tea cup stamp. It will be twenty years in May but I still remember the feeling of accomplishment. I was so proud of that card and amazed that I had made it. I had no idea where my newfound love of paper crafting would take me over the next two decades.

Mix and match tea cups and teapots with different sized flowers to create elegant cards. Included in the stamp set are three greetings including Happy Mother’s Day.
I stamped the small flower from the Tea Together stamp set three times onto Watercolor Paper with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and let dry for a minute or two. Them using an Aqua Painter filled with water, I picked ink up from the stamp pad lids. To prevent the colors from becoming muddy, allow each color to dry before adding the next. As an example. I colored all the flower center in Daffodil Delight and then the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist. Once the leaves and centers were dry, I colored the flowers – one each in Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral and Balmy Blue.

I am loving the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. Create layers simply and accurately with the Big Shot and these dies in very little time.
The dies come in cascading sizes that layer together for lots of different looks or use just one for the card base or an accent piece. You can also create frames for your cards in no time.
I made this card with the Needle & Thread and Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies. One of my favourite pieces in the framelits is the paper piercing design I used on the background. Instead of cutting out the image the die makes small holes for a truly unique design.
The colours used on this card are Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz.
