I am still loving the First Frost stamps and Frosted Bouquet Framelits from the Frosted Floral Suite featured in the 2018 Holiday catalogue.
And using this bundle couldn’t be easier – stamp some flowers, cut them out and arrange on the card. That’s it!
For this card, I stamped the flowers in Blackberry Bliss and the stems in Pear Pizzazz. The background is Gray Granite card stock and Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper package has a shimmery finish that is elegant and really adds to the card.

After cutting out two different sized label framelits both included in the bundle, I arranged the flowers and stems around the stamped greeting. I finished the card with Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

I’ve never been great at colouring. Ask every elementary school teacher I ever had.
But I love colouring with the Stampin’ Blends.
I like to start with the darkest colour from the combo for the shading and then colour on top with the lightest colour. Then I can continue to add colour until I am happy with the finished product.
And the County Home stamp set is great choice to get started.

After embossing the Galvanized Paper with the Tin Tile embossing folder, I added a bit of Early Espresso ink using the direct to paper technique. I wiped off the excess with a paper towel to achieve an aged look.

Don’t you love this bold and thankful greeting?

This Beautiful Blizzard Bundle card checks all my favourite stamping boxes.
- Christmas. Check!
- Blue. Check!
- Snowflakes. Check!
I created this card with Whisper White and Night of Navy card stocks. The inks are Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Pacific Point. I also added Pearls to the center of three of the snowflakes.
What is your favourite style of Christmas card?

Save 10% when you purchase the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle.
The Blizzard Thinlits Die cuts out lots and lots of snowflakes all at once. The Precision Base Plate can help cut them out effortlessly. For best results, pass the die through the Big Shot once and then flip the die upside down for a second pass through.
Keep on creating with the various snowflakes or put them aside for future creations.

What’s your Christmas Card stamping style?
Is each card you make unique and created just for the recipient? Or do you make all of your cards the same and stamp them in batches?
If you need to make a lot of cards this year, consider making a quick and easy card like this one. It takes just a few minutes for each card and you can assemble on the go if you need to – sitting at kids activities, on a lunch break at work or even while traveling.
For this card, I used the Merry Christmas to All Bundle which include the stamp set and Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies. I created the background with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
The card is Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand and Gold.
How many cards will you be making this year?

The Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper has 24 sheets of 6″ x 6″ glittered sheets in Merry Merlot, Copper and Tranquil Tide and is a great product to coordinate with the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I love Shimmer Paints and am thrilled to see them return in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!
Although there are lots of techniques for using the paints one of my favourite ways is to use them in place of ink.
I used the Copper Shimmer Paint and the Winter Woods stamp set to make the square cards. Also included is a super simple one layer card made with Night of Navy as a comparison to the shimmery look of the other cards.
Winter Woods makes great masculine or sympathy cards in addition to beautiful Christmas cards.

I inked up the stamp in Night of Navy and then applied Copper Shimmer Paint over the ink before stamping. You can use the huffing technique to re-moisten the stamp. The greeting is from Winter Woods but I omitted the last two lines. This card also uses Crumb Cake card stock.

A simple version with Copper Shimmer Paint applied to the stamp and then stamped onto Night of Navy card stock.

I like to apply the shimmer paint directly to the stamp with a wadded up piece of plastic wrap. It applies the shimmer paint evenly and clean up is a breeze – just toss the wrap into the trash.
I pour a drop of shimmer paint onto an acrylic block to pick up with the wrap. You don’t need much because a little goes a long way.
To clean the stamp after I’m done, I stamp off as much of the shimmer paint as I can and then clean the stamp as usual.

I have become a huge fan of the Simply Shammy. Where, oh where has it been all of my stamping life?
Life before the Shammy: All of my stamps where piled up waiting to be cleaned once I got around to it. And my blocks were all waiting with the stamps so I never seemed to have a clean block.
Life after the Shammy: Grab the shammy, clean the stamp and block and move on. I even feel more creative with less clutter.
Make sure to add a Simply Shammy to you next order! You’ll be glad you did.
TIP: Cut the Shammy in half so it is easy to grab and to clean stamps while attached to the Stamparatus. And you can store the Shammy in a stamp case so it is moist and ready to go. If it does dry out completely, just work some water into it until is is pliable and ready to use.

Here is my Simply Shammy after several weeks of use. Don’t worry about the ink stains.
And from the Stampin’ Up! website – This reusable stamp cleaning cloth makes stamp cleaning effortless. Just add water, then wipe stamps on the shammy. Durable, thick shammy easily cleans ink from narrow grooves. No lint, no chemicals—just clean! (Ink will stain shammy but won’t transfer to your fingers or other stamps.) With its portable 5″ x 7″ (12.7 x 17.8 cm) size it fits neatly in a stamp case.
