Stampin Up Going Global Card

It’s so easy to reach for a stamp set with flowers, add one of my favorite colours like Rose Red or Bermuda Bay and make my card. But sometimes you need a card for the men in your life and this week I actually needed two.

I sat down to stamp and was joined by my daughter, Alex. We each made one card using the Going Places suite of products – “explore trendy, masculine textures with travel-inspired designs.”

This suite includes the Going Global stamp set, Going Places designer series paper stack and World Traveler Embossing Folder.

Crystal Effects Going Global Card

I cut a square of Crumb Cake card stock to go under the compass and wet it thoroughly before scrunching it together. Open up and allow it to dry to get the wrinkled look.

I stamped the compass three times. The first I circle punched and colored with Lost Lagoon ink before applying a light layer of Crystal Effects. The other two I colored with Basic Gray ink and then cut out with scissors before applying the Crystal Effects. Allow all the pieces to dry before assembling with an Antique Brad in the middle.

Going Global Washi Tape Card

This card uses similar products to the first card including the same Going Global stamp set, World Traveler Embossing Folder and Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack.  Alex also used the Everyday Chic Washi Tape along the top of the card.

The colors on this card are Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Crushed Curry.

The greeting piece was punched with the Triple Banner Punch at either end. The center of the compass is a black candy dot from the Neutrals Candy Dots package.
