Wedding Sweet!
I feel sorry for this stamp set. No, I really do. It is on page 48 of the Idea Book & Catalogue with the wedding products. I bet you have flipped right past it without taking a second look. Right?
The Wedding Sweet stamp set is great for wedding cards. But it is so much more! This large image is such a simple way to fill up a card. And it works for every occasion – birthday, thank you, anniversary, sympathy, thinking of you. Oh, and wedding!
Here, I heat embossed the image with Black on Sahara Sand cardstock. I layered the stamped image onto Basic Black cardstock. Next I tied a knot of Basic Black satin ribbon around the Bermuda Bay cardstock and adhered it to the Basic Black card. For embellishments, I added a row of black brads from the Vintage Brads assortment. It is so easy to line the brads up using the Mat Pack. With the Piercing Tool, the Mat Pack really is one of my must have tools. Finally, I added the greeting by layering two pieces of cardstock punched with the Modern Label punch. Happy Moments! I love the name of this stamp set. This card by Kimberly Garnett showcases the images in this Sale-A-bration stamp set. It is definitely a stamp set with fun, bold images. Perfect for birthdays and other happy occasions.
The Whimsical Words stamp set has a greeting for almost every occasion. Here, Tara Sparshu created punched circles of cardstock to make the background of the card. By punching out the stamped greeting, it stands out and becomes the focal point of the card.

Where does your stamping inspiration come from?
I was out shopping this week and saw a blouse in pale pink, black and white. It was so striking. I couldn’t wait to get home and recreate the look in a card.

This card definitely qualifies for a fast and easy Simple Saturday card. It is one of those rare Saturday’s at our house when no one needs to be anywhere. No basketball games, no birthday parties, no nothing. Love it! And one of my favourite things to do on a quiet Saturday is breakfast at McDonalds. So,when you can create a card with two “eager to go out the door” kids standing over your shoulder, you know that card was quick to make.
I stamped the flower from Bella’s Bloom in Pretty in Pink and stamped the greeting underneath it in Basic Black. Isn’t the flower image gorgeous? I layered the stamped images onto Pretty in Pink card stock and then Basic Black card stock. Next, I layered the pink dotted design from the Shades of Spring DSP onto Whisper White card stock. I added a length of Pretty in Pink satin ribbon and three black brads from the Vintage Brads assortment as embellishments. To finish, I layered the Whisper White piece onto a Basic Black card and added the stamped image. Easy peasy. And the basic layout of the card is so easy to re-create with other papers and images.

I don’t think it is possible to create a bad looking card with the Vintage Vogue stamp set.
I am having a lot of fun stamping flowers, both little and big, cutting them out and positioning them on the card. Add a greeting, embellish and you are good to go. Remember this card from earlier this month? Same idea, new colours, different card. Woo Hoo!
I stamped the little flower from Vintage Vogue in Real Red and Basic Black ink and cut them out. With a mini glue dot, I added the smallest white pearl from the Pretties Kit to the center or each flower.
Next, I stamped the greeting and the vine image onto Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink. Between the two stamped images, I adhered a 1-1/2″ strip of the Bride Specialty paper. Love this paper! Lastly, I added a length of the Whisper White Organza ribbon with the Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon on top. Can you see the knot in the grosgrain? Sometimes a bow is just too much and a knot is a great alternative. Assemble the card by adhering the card front to the Basic Black card and the card is finished. It really didn’t take long at all.
