Stampin Up Vintage Leaves Masculine Birthday Card

This card is a birthday card for my little brother.

Sometimes masculine cards can be the hardest to make. There are lots of flowers choices and colours for most other types of cards but cards for the men in our lives can be tougher. For this card, I decided to take advantage of the time of year and go with an autumn theme.

The main stamped piece is 3″ x 4-1/4″. The Rich Razzleberry and Into the Wood designer series paper layering pieces are the same size just at different angles.

I made the 1/2″ wide banner with the Triple Banner Punch and added a greeting from Tin of Cards in Soft Suede. The banner was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Rich Razzleberry Candy Dots at each end finish the card.

The various leaves are stamped in Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight and Tangelo Twist as an all over collage.

After stamping the leaves, I used a sponge dauber to colour each leaf a little and added some Daffodil Delight to the white spaces. Make sure the inks are dry before the next step.

Over top, I stamped the long thin leaf in VersaMark ink and embossed with gold  embossing powder.
