Hello Ladybug Bundle
Today is the last day to get FREE products during Sale-a-bration. To wrap things up, here are a few more samples.
First up is the Hello Ladybug Punch Bundle paired with the free Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. So stinkin’ cute!
I’ve been having fun lately making a few cards with the new Hello Ladybug Bundle from the mini catalogue. Both bugs are easy to line up for two step stamping. I stayed traditional in red and white with this card but any colour combination works for these friendly bugs. For this card, I decided to stamp the flowers and ladybug and not use the punch instead layering on angle cut card stocks – including the Basic Gray and white Marbleous paper pattern. To finish the card, I added a few Matte Dots in black.

Let’s Set Sail Bundle
Here is another sample using the free Simply Marbleous DSP in Misty Moonlight. I paired the paper with the Let’s Set Sail Punch Bundle for a fast and simple 6″ x 3″ finished card. A little tone on tone stamping for the background before adding the boat and greeting. Other than dimensionals behind the second row of the greeting, this card didn’t need any other embellishment.

Can you believe that it is March tomorrow? Which means that Easter will be here before we know it.
Pair your Daffodil Daydream Bundle with the free Daffodil Afternoon 12″x12′ Designer Series Paper. The designs include background patterns like the one I used for this card as well as big, beautiful florals to match the stamp set and dies. You can also see one of the paper designs on the top layer of the die cut daffodils.

Friendly Hello Stamp Set and DSP

FREE with a $120 Purchase

A set of 13 stamps, Friendly Hello has three greeting and 10 other images including an adorable bird on a branch.
The images coordinate with the designs of the paper or can be used on their own. For these cards, I stamped in black StazOn ink and then added some ink to the center of the flowers with a Water Painter. I left a lot of white space while still adding colour to match the cardstock.

The colours included in the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper are Basic Black, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Shaded Spruce.
I used Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink for these cards, choosing a pattern of paper that had only the single color plus black and white. Each paper in this package has a bolder design on one side of the paper and a smaller design on the other, Included are designs that highlight a singled colour of use multiple colours to create the fun patterns.
The layers are:
Card #1
Basic Black – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ folded in half for the card
Fresh Freesia 5-1/4″ x 4″
Designer Series Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″

Let’s Set Sail Bundle
The Let’s Set Sail Punch Bundle is a new item from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I love the look of this Sailboat Builder Punch and the stamps that work so well with it.
The included greetings are inspirational and would work well for graduations, retirements and travel, And there is a great birthday greeting, too. If you’re looking for a bundle to make masculine cards, this is it.
With winter and snow all around, this set has me dreaming of a beach and warm blue water. Since I get really seasick, I’ll be watching the sailboats from shore.

Let’s Set Sail Bundle #157908 $43.00
Included in the bundle is the Let’s Set Sail Stamp Set with 9 images and the Sailboat Builder Punch

To make the tiled sails for this card, I punched the sailboat out ten times and then used liquid glue to layer together the stacks of Basic White. The sailboat was punched out from Crumb Cake cardstock and I added a Misty Moonlight flag that I cut out freehand with paper snips. Although a similar look can be achieved with dimensionals, stacking the sails has a cleaner look when viewing the card at an angle.

The background for this card was made with the Gentle Waves stamp. I used Balmy Blue at the top of the stamp and Misty Moonlight at the bottom. The colours blended really nicely in the middle. This is also a stamp from the new mini catalogue and is a great coordinating product for the Let’s Set Sail Punch Bundle.
As a small accent, I stamped the birds from Let’s Set Sail in Crumb Cake. The card base is Crumb Cake (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) and layers are Balmy Blue (5″ x 3-3/4″) and Basic White (4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″).
I stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock and then cut the words out with paper snips. The greeting was applied with dimensionals.

My new favourite way to watercolor is using … water. Just water. After stamping an image, use a water painter or paintbrush to highlight the shadowing using a light application of water to blur the ink a little right on the image. So simple but it really is attention getting.

Butterfly Brilliance Cards in Black and White
Butterfly Brilliance in Black and White
There is something to be said for the simplicity of creating in black and white. Although I love colourful cards, I think I am equally fond of the monochromatic card. In keeping it simple, the intricate details in the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Brilliant Wings dies really have a chance to show off. And you can purchase both products together in the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle.
When using this set of dies, I tend to cut a couple of extra butterflies if I have time. Then when I need a last minute card, it’s just a card base, some designer series paper plus the circle, butterfly and a greeting. That’s a quick card ready to go. And butterflies work for any occasion – birthday, sympathy, thanks and so many more.
When making butterflies using the dies, I do recommend the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip. It makes getting those little pieces out so much easier. And if you don’t have the original Take Your Pick, it is the handiest little tool for stampers.
So, what about you. Are you a fan of black and white cards? Please leave a comment and let me know.

Today is the last day to save:

Not sure which dies to add to your collections. Below are my Top 5 Dies that every stamper should own.
Stitched Rectangles #151820 Sale $38.40
Tasteful Labels #152886 Sale $33.60
Tailor Made Tags #155563 Sale $24.00
Scalloped Contours #155560 Sale $38.40
Layering Circles #151770 Sale $38.40

To make this card, I adhered the butterflies to a piece of white cardstock that was the same size as the Stitched Rectangle die cut frame that I had made. Then I trimmed off any pieces that exceeded the edge of the cardstock before assembling the card. The card actually had a bit too much open space so it was the Matte Black Dots to the rescue. Just a few dots filled in the whiteness and finished the card.

This card is really similar to the one above except I stamped the butterflies to create the background. The butterfly was highlighted by adding it onto a layering circles die cut. Both greetings are from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
