Curvy Christmas Card
This Curvy Christmas Star card was so much fun to put together.
I love the color combination of Cherry Cobbler and Silver but my favourite part of the card is the Glitter Star Ornament at the top. It fills in the open space while keeping to the star theme and incorporating the silver color.

Dandelion Wishes by Stampin’ Up! featuring Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight
Dandelion Wishes by Stampin’ Up!
Although not a new stamp set, Dandelion Wishes has long been a favourite of mine. I find that this stamp set works for so many occasions – birthday, thank you, and in this case, a wedding shower card.
I wanted to add a little elegance to the card with the gold foil paper and other gold embellishments so I chose Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight as the colours for this card.
The Bumblebee card stock was embossed with the Dandelions 3D Embossing Folder for the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine before I assembled the card. I also added a stripe of Misty Moonlight designer series paper from the 2020 – 2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ pack which I layered onto gold foil paper.

Dandelion Wishes, Set of 6
I also stamped a couple of images from Beauty Abounds to the background of this card. The various sizes of circles were stamped in Bumblebee. I then stamped the dandelions in Misty Moonlight and once dry, I added the splatter image and heat embossed with gold powder.

I also stamped a couple of images from Beauty Abounds to the background of the dandelion. The various sizes of circles were stamped in Bumblebee. I then stamped the dandelions in Misty Moonlight and once dry, I added the splatter image and heat embossed with gold powder.
I finished the card with a gold Metallic Pearl in the center of each dandelion.
The greetings in Dandelion Wishes are a fantastic mix of cursive and block lettering. For this card though, I choose to create my own greeting with the Well Said stamp set.

Looking for a versatile stamp set for all of your occasions, Dandelion Wishes is the stamp set to pick.

Poinsettia Place Suite by Stampin’ Up!
I absolutely love the Poinsettia Place Suite by Stampin’ Up! Also called the Christmas Flower, poinsettias are gorgeous with all their lush layers. Although the traditional poinsettias are red, the plants are now available in whites, pinks, salmon and even green.
Poinsettias hold a special memory for me as I was married at Christmas. Our florist decided instead of flowers to decorate with white poinsettias. The front the church held dozens of plants all sprayed with a fine gold glitter to match the Christmas tree that was also trimmed only in white and gold.
It’s been a few years now since I was married but I still remember how breathtaking the row upon row of poinsettias was at the front of the church. And every year I buy a poinsettia – or two – for the house.
When it comes to Christmas stamp sets, poinsettia images are a personal favorite. And this Poinsettia Place Suite that includes the Poinsettia Petals stamps and dies makes beautiful layered cards that remind me why this Christmas flower is a must have.

Poinsettia Petals Bundle in Calypso Coral
I heat embossed these poinsettia petals with gold powder onto watercolor paper. With a water painter and Calypso Coral ink, I colored the leaves and then let them dry. To add texture, I crinkled the leaves a little before assembling the flowers.

To get the variegated look on the petals, I used the water painter and “pounced” the brush so the ink was heavier in some parts. I used the Poinsettia Petals designer series paper as one of the layers and added the Gilded Gems as the center and as an accent to the card.

Poinsettia Place Suite in Rococo Rose
For this card, I heat embossed again using gold powder but this time onto Vellum. I coloured the poinsettias and leaves on the back with a sponge dauber using Rococo Rose and Old Olive inks. The gorgeous designer paper is called Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper and really pops with the Whisper White card stock from underneath.

I added a gold center and accents with the Metallic Pearls. This package is one of my favourite accessories. Included are 121 gold and 121 silver pearls so you have enough pearls to create flower centers like this one.

Poinsettia Place Suite in Whisper White
Again I heat embossed with gold powder, this time using Whisper White card stock. The woodgrain paper is another design from the Poinsettia Petals designer series paper.

I kept the card simple by not colouring the poinsettia instead adding a pearl and rhinestone center Beaded Pearl. Did you also notice the veining on the leaf from the die?
Now that November is here, we can focus on our Christmas card and projects. Have you decided which products are your favourites from the August – December 2020 Mini catalogue?
