The daisies are made from Purple Posy cardstock – one of five new In Colors for 2019 – 2021 introduced with the new catalogue. The Daisy Lane stamp set is a set of 9 including a large and medium daisy as well as 4 greetings and additional floral and  greens. And the bundle includes the new Medium Daisy punch.

The stunning doily-like background was made with the Stitched Lace Dies. Cut out a card sized piece with the  lace die and then use it as a card front, create a complete card or trim down the lace to single, double or triple ribbons with the included edge. This card features two rows cut from the die.  I have used this die quite a bit and recommend it.

To complete the card, I added a greeting stamped in Crumb Cake which is the same colour I used on the daisies.  A Linen Thread bow goes across the card. The center of the daisies are Gold Faceted Gems and the leaves are punched with the Leaf Punch in Pear Pizzazz.

Each daisy is made with three layers of punched cardstock. The bottom layer is unstamped and is mostly to add stability and depth. The top two layers are first and second generation stamped images. For this card, I alternated the two generations on each daisy for a subtler and more muted flower.

A first generation image is stamped directly after inking up the stamp. A second generation image is stamped without re-inking the stamp and is, of course, lighter than the first stamped image. You can continue with third generation and beyond depending on the look you want.
