Sometimes a card just comes together and everything works the first time. This is one of those cards, I’m happy to say.
My starting point was to create a square frame on a card. I knew that a border along the side would work as well so I started cutting card stock. The card is a traditional 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and the long side piece is 2″ x 5-1/4″ with the stamped Whisper White piece on top measuring 1-3/4″ x 5″.
Next step, the square frame. I cut a square piece 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ and then cut out the inside of the square with a Stampin’ Trimmer measuring a 1/4″ in from each of the four sides. The square inside of the frame is 2″ x 2′ and the top layer is 1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″.
The stamp set I used is Nature’s Perfection, a set of 5, which is free right now during Sale-a-bration with a $60 order. I stamped the flower image onto the border piece several times each in Real Red, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Memento Tuxedo Black before coloring the flower with an Aqua Painter and Real Red ink. The center flower was made the same way except I stamped only once with tuxedo black ink.
To finish the card, I added a “many thanks” greeting from Another Thank You and three black Candy Dots.

This card has the exact same measurements but I decided to feature gold on this card including the gold foil sheets, designer gold foil vellum and gold encore ink.
The butterfly is also from the Nature’s Perfection stamp set and “thanks” is from Another Thank You. I love the font used for this greeting.
