The one stamping investment I will never regret is the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. Cutting and embossing is so easy that making special cards like this one take no time at all. I love how creative I can be when using the various framelits and embossing folders that Stampin’ up! offers in the catalog.
This card is for a bridal shower I am attending soon and as I didn’t know the wedding colours of the bride, I decided to stay very neutral and use only Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.
I stamped the rose from the Papaya Collage stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Soft Suede ink and then added a few embellishments to the card in the same tones. The bow is Crumb Cake Seam Binding and the button is from the Very Vintage Designer Buttons package with a Linen Thread knot.
What made this card simple to make was using framelits to cut the various shapes. From bottom to top, I layered a framelit from Labels Collection, Deco Labels Collection and Apothecary Accents. I embossed two of the layers with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder for added texture.
I love the romantic vintage feel of this card that would work well as a wedding card also.
