I wish I could invite you over to see this card in person because it is so much more vibrant than it appears in this photo.
After stamping lots of Christmas cards, tags, gift holders, etc. it feels refreshing to stamp flowers. Like many of you, I am drawn to floral sets and there are so many to choose from in the new Stampin’ Up! 2014 Occasions Catalog. If you haven’t had a chance yet, take a look at new catalog (the link is below and to the right) and then leave a comment telling me which is your favorite new stamp set.
For this card, I lined up post-it notes halfway down the page and then sponged on ink in Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz. After letting it dry for a moment (this keeps the ink from spreading across the line when you remove the post-its), I stamped the Peaceful Petals stamp set image twice, side by side, in each ink color.
I then added the greeting, also from Peaceful Petals, in Bermuda Bay. Finally, I stamped the image again in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card itself is layers of Whisper White and Bermuda Bay card stocks.
A closer view of the sponged rainbow of colors over stamped with the same ink colors and then embossed in white.
