Peaceful Wreath from Stampin' Up! on Red Foil Paper

I love the intricate detail on the new Peaceful Wreath Photopolymer stamp set. The wreath, bow and evergreen bough all have such fine lines including the leaves and berries.

This week I was wondering how embossing powder would look on the Red Foil paper and decided to give it a try in white. It actually worked really well but I definitely needed to use the embossing buddy very generously. I applied the embossing buddy, stamped the image in VersaMark ink and then applied the white embossing powder tapping off the excess powder. I did have to work quite quickly with the heat gun because the paper seemed to want to start to buckle. I think it was actually the backing of the paper detaching from the foil paper itself. Thankfully it was not visible from the front.

With the co-ordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits, I cut out the bow and “Joy” from Thick Whisper White card stock. The stamped words “to the world” from the stamp set work so well with the paper Joy, don’t they?

Have you ordered the Fine-Tip Glue Pen yet? This is a must have for adhering small and narrow pieces to your card. Love it!

To finish the card, I layered Whisper White and Real Red card stocks behind the Red Foil embossed piece.
