Pink Pirouette is another colour that is returning to Stampin’ Up! after previosuly being an In Color. It is such a pretty colour and so soft that it needed a stronger colour to work with it. I paired it here with Basic Gray.
This card did not turn out the way I pictured it before I stamped it. The end result is much more elegant and delicate than I had imagined. In fact, as I was finishing it up hubby walked by and said “it needs pearls”. And he was right. The brads I was adding would not have achieved this same graceful look.
The card itself is Basic Gray and I corner rounded the four corners to soften the card up a bit. The layer of Whisper White is 1/2″ smaller than the Basic Gray card – 5″ x 3-3/4″ and the Pink Pirouette layer is 1/4″ smaller than the Whisper White – 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″.
I stamped the largest Pink Pirouette piece of cardstock with the Belle Toile background stamp and Basic Gray ink. I added a scallop edge punched border to layers of cardstock in the same colours – Basic Gray, Whisper White and Pink Pirouette and tied a knotted length of Basic Gray satin ribbon around it.
The greeting is from the new stamp set, Perfect Punches. This greeting set is designed to work with the various Stampin’ Up! punches. I stamped it twice – once in Basic Gray and once in Pink Pirouette. The Pink Pirouette was punched with the Scallop Oval and the Basic Gray with the small oval punch. The two were layered with stampin’ dimensionals.
I think this would be a great card for a wedding! I am so glad that Pink Pirouette is back and I can’t wait to show you more cards using the colour.
