Regarding Dahlias (Wood $24.95 130324, Clear $17.95 130327) is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets and this card sketch is quickly becoming a new favorite as well.
I have made several cards this week, including some for the Rubber Stampers Club, that use this same layout and I don’t think you can go wrong. For this card, I layered Baker Brown Sugar onto a Strawberry Slush card and added a stamped Whisper White piece. The images where stamped in Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush.
The band is Coastal Cabana cardstock with a “thank you” greeting stamped in Baked Brown Sugar ink. One of the reason I like this stamp set is for the four greetings that it includes. In addition to the “thank you” there is also “you’re invited” and a second set of larger greeting that say ” hi” and “hello, you”.
What I really like about this card sketch is the layered pieces along the left hand side. You could dress is up with embellishments such as buttons, rhinestones or pearls. You can also add fishtails made of designer series paper. And the amount of the card showing underneath can be increased to create a whole new look.
