This week I have felt like a very confused stamper. Or as my daughter would say confuzzled. I alternate between using my sneak peek products from the new 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Canada catalogue (ordering starts tomorrow – yeah!) And using retiring products that I know I am going to miss.
Like the silver and gold Stampin’ Dazzle markers. Although the dazzle markers do not appear on the retired list, they are not expected to be available after tomorrow. So get them now! For $4.50 each, they are a bargain.
The dazzle markers can be used to write inside a card especially on dark card stock. You can accent a stamped image but coloring one part of the image. You can even stamp with them as I did here.
But my favorite way to use the markers is what I did on this card. Heat emboss an image in silver or gold onto vellum. Choose an image with lots of open space like this one from the new hostess set, Simply Sketched.
Turn the stamped vellum over and color on the back side with the dazzle marker. That’s it. In a pinch, you can use a metallic Sharpie marker but the color it not as opaque and intense.

Silver $4.50 #128978
Gold $4.50 #128979
This is a similar card I made around Christmas, this time with the gold dazzle marker.
The stamp set is called Watercolor Winter and is now retired but any line art set will work.
