We all have our weaknesses. Those things we just can’t resist. Mine are coffee, books and nail polish.
And background stamps.
I love the big background stamps, especially if they have flowers. So, you know I had to order Something Lacy as soon as I saw it. I just had to. And I have no regrets.
I spent a lot of yesterday stamping and I had a lot of mishaps. When those ideas in my head can’t translate onto a card no matter what I tried. It was actually a pretty frustrating stamping day. But Something Lacy never let me down. I made several cards with this stamp (I’ll share them soon) and it all just worked.
The white embossed card below is the one I made for my stamp club last night. Janey, one of the ladies who attended, changed her card up and used the Calypso Coral embossing powder instead. And now I don’t know which I like better.
For both cards, I heat embossed and then colored with the Calypso Coral and Old Olive blendabilities. Remember, these can be your free Sale-a-bration choices with a $60 order. I added a button and ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack on top of the Crazy For You greeting to finish the card.
This is my original card with white embossing powder. Everything else is the same.
Now it’s your turn to take your pick. Do you like the Calypso Coral or the White embossed card better?
Please leave a comment and let me know.

hi, wow, these cards are both beautiful! But if I have to choose just one, which I do, for me it’s the white one. It just pops for me! Gorgeous!
I like the white embossed card the best. Maybe a white background on the Calyspo coral instead of Crumb Cake would lighten it up a bit..
they are both beautiful but the white embossed just pops!

If I had to pick just one, I would go for the white. But both are really gorgeous. Great job
What color is your card base?
How did you attach your vellum strip?
Millie – The card is Calypso Coral with Crumb Cake and Whisper White layers. I attached the vellum with two glue dots – one under the greeting and one under the button. hth
Both cards are stunning, but the white seems to have a bit more bounce to show off the background. Love the Coral, yummy!
