If you only took a quick look at the Petal Cone Die in the Occasions Mini catalogue, or didn’t even notice it all, go take another look. This Bigz die for the Big Shot Machine is so cute!
I was surprised how easy these were to make and the die even includes the scallop petals and the banner.
I dressed the Petal Cone die up a bit with a length of Very Vanilla Seam Binding that I gathered a little bit.
The only other embellishment is the Rosette with a pearl center.
Whether you leave this Petal Cone die open of close the top for a different look and purpose, you will have fun creating with this die.

Don’t think it, ink it!
Not surprisingly, an awesome cone!!! I just got this die today and have been looking around and this is one of the prettiest I have seen….I love all your stuff.
Thanks Michelle! You made my day!
I know you see a lot of projects every day and you are also so complimentary of mine. Thank you!
Dar
Hi Dar,
Beautiful cone project! The additions you made to the Vintage paper used really step up the whole vintage feel. Love the pearl addition to the rosette and the gathered ribbon handle. I also had a wonderful ah ha moment after just looking at the picture before reading the text of your post. I’d been looking at the die cut pieces in front of me and trying to figure out the purpose of the scallop piece. Kept laying it on top of the semi circle flaps. Then I saw your picture and …duh…it’s a layering piece for “under” the flap!! That plus the folding possibilities of the banner piece became crystal clear….I guess its true what they say. A picture is worth a thousand words! Thanks for clearing the cobwebs from my feeble brain. Hugs – Jean
I just saw a neat card idea using the petal cone die today. I will share it soon. I think we are really going to enjoy using this die for all kinds of projects!
