I was making a card with the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die and wanted to start with a simple card so I made this one above. I cut the die out of Baked Brown Sugar card stock and layered with dimensionals onto another piece of Baked Brown Sugar before adhering to a Tangerine Tango card.

Various flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set were stamped onto Tangerine Tango and Coastal Cabana card stocks with Baked Brown Sugar ink and punched out with the Petite Petals punch. Save 15% by purchasing the stamp set and punch as a bundle.

The greeting is from the Happy Watercolor stamp set and was also stamped in Baked Brown Sugar ink onto a banner shaped piece of Whisper White card stock. Small pearls were placed in the middle of each flower to finish the card.

Tip: Place a piece of wax paper between the card stock and the die before cutting out with the Big Shot. You will be so glad you did! Getting the Hexagon Hive cut piece out  of the thinlit will be easy peasy.

After making the first card and getting to know how the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die works, I decided to make a second card and step it up a bit. 

Many of the products I used were the same but I layered the “Thank You” greeting from Four You (Wood 130535, Clear 130538) and added Calypso Coral as an accent to the Tangerine Tango.

I saved some of the Calypso Coral and Tangerine Tango pieces that get cut out of the die and adhered them to the card. The Petite Petals punched flowers were from Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper centered with an Itty Bitty Shapes punched center and than a medium pearl.

I think the second stepped up card is my favorite. Which card is yours?
