I thought I would let the Watercolor Words stamp set live up to its name and make a couple of watercoloured cards. For both of these cards, I used Watercolor Paper and inks in Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry.
For this card, I stamped the flower to cover the paper except for a border on each side that I covered with post-it notes. After stamping with VersaMark ink, I heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Then with an Aqua Painter, I added 1″ or so bands of each colour. I find it best to let each colour dry for a bit before adding the next band of colour.
A tag made of Watercolor Paper and watercoloured with Calypso Coral ink was added to the card with Calypso Coral Seam Binding Ribbon.
For this card, I stamped with the inks onto Watercolor Paper and then gently misted the paper with water in a Spritzer.
It is best to add just a few sprays of water and then let it sit for a minute or two. You can always add more water but you want to avoid the inks running too much on the card.
I stamped and heat embossed the greeting and another flower onto Vellum as an overlay to complete the card. If you add a glue dot to each corner, the paper will be attached without too much adhesive showing through.
