This is a card featuring the new Jumbo Sticky Rounds seen in the Holiday catalogue. My newsletter went out today with a video showing how to make flowers and rosettes using fabric, tulle and ribbon. Over the next few days, I wil be sharing the projects that I made using the various flowers and rosettes I made in the video with the Jumbo Sticky Rounds.
I made the card by glueing together the Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black and Whisper White layering pieces and sending them through the Big Shot all at once. I wanted to make sure the Chevron pattern from the embossing folder aligned. It worked so well!
Next I added the greeting from the Friendship Preserves stamp set, stamped in Basic Black and cut out with the stamp set matching Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies. Remember, you can buy the stamp set and framelits together as a bundle and save money.
After I had assembled the card, I tried to position the Scallop Dots Ribbon flower various ways on the card. I tried adding tails of ribbon underneath the flower. Although the red backing on the flower from the Jumbo Sticky Round was throwing me off a little as I tried to picture the card, I knew it just wasn’t working. I needed something more under the ribbon flower for balance. The 3″ and 3-1/2″ Circle Originals dies to the rescue. The extra two circle layers made the card.
Remember to stop by tomorrow for another Jumbo Sticky Round sample.

To make this Scallop Dot Ribbon flower, I pinched the ribbon tightly before adhering to the Jumbo Sticky Round.

I need to confess something to you. This card started off as the card I posted yesterday. I don’t know how I got off on such a totally different direction. And while I am confessing my stamping secrets to all of you, you might as well know – I cannot use this stamp set, Daydream Medallions without singing Daydream Believers by The Monkees at the top of my lungs. I’m sure my family is glad they were out of the house when I was stamping up a storm this week.
Although there are lots of layers on this card, they are easy to cutout with the Floral Frames Framelits which were made to coordinate with the Daydream Medallions stamp set. And they do so beautifully! I recommend stamping first and then cutting out with the framelit so it can be centered correctly. Remember you can use a post-it note to hold the framelit in place so it doesn’t move while being cut out – see this post.
Whether your order the stamp set in clear or wood, remember to hold onto the rubber centers of the images as you mount them since they make great stamps on their own.
To make this card, I stamped the two Daydream Medallions images I wanted to use and then cut them out with the matching Floral Frame framelit. I then created additional frames in Basic Black for layering. To the piece of Whisper White card stock that is layered on the Basic Black card, I added a Delicate Designs embossed image using the folder for the Big Shot.
A length of Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon was adhered to the card before adding the floral layers using dimensionals. To finish the card, I added a bow in the same taffeta ribbon and a “thanks” greeting stamped in Basic Black and punched with the Small Oval.
So, what do you think of this black and white card? Please leave a comment and let me know. And if you want to confess any stamping secrets of your own, I’m listening.

Instead of adding ribbon to the center of the Basic Black Button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack, I adhere a pearl from the Large Pearl Basic Jewels to the top to make it appear as more of the center of a flower.

I keep hearing the Affection Collection stamp set referred to as the Valentines stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue. And it would be a great set for making Valentines card for your loved ones but I think it is so much more than just a heartsy valentines set.
I was participating in a swap with my Dreaming About Rubber Stamps Team Members and challenged myself to use the Affection Collection Stamp set for a card that was not pink or red or had hearts. So here it is. What do you think?
Since I needed to make quite a few cards I wanted to keep it simple but still show off some of the great new Holiday catalogue products. To keep the stamping easy, I used only one ink colour, Early Espresso and only two card colours, Early Espresso and Bashful Blue in addition to Very Vanilla for the card itself.
The Brushed Bronze designer buttons and Crochet Trim fit right into my colour scheme. The only other additions needed to create this card were the Window Frame Framelits and Lacy Brocade embossing folder for the Big Shot. Clean and simple and quick to make – the perfect swap card!

I love the look of these new Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons in the Holiday Catalogue on page 32.They look great on their own or you can add some ribbon to the top with a mini glue dot like I did.

Have you noticed the Jumbo Sticky Rounds in the Holiday Catalogue? These are perfect for making rosettes and other flowers with fabric and ribbon. If you haven’t already, please sign up for my newsletter by clicking the envelope link below to receive a video this week on how to use the Jumbo Sticky Rounds to create different types of flowers.
I also used the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin’ Pad on this card. What a long name! Stampin’ Up! could have saved time and just called it the “Wow” pad since that is what everyone says as they use it. This pad stamps in an opague glimmery not quite white, not quite silver ink. Very pretty! It looks fab stamped over a darker colour of ink or on dark cardstock but it also look great stamped on Whisper White or lighter coloured card stocks for a glimmery watermark look.
On my card, I used it twice – to stamp the Evergreen stamp set greeting onto the Not Quite Navy cardstock and to over stamp on the Not Quite Navy inked tree with the words from the Evergreen stamp set.

Evergreen Stamp set – Holiday Catalogue, page 18 (Wood $31.95, 127970, Clear $22.95, 127973)
I love all the various looks you can create with this stamp set by layering the images – bold only, bold image and words, bold image and the line design, line design and words, star or no star and so on. Think of the possibilities!

This card is so soft I wish you could all feel it. It reminds me of velvet, the really expensive ones.
To make this card, I cut a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of the new Cherry Cobbler Core’dinations card stock for the front of my card and sanded it with the Stampin’ Sanding System. This can create somewhat of a mess if you are not careful so I recommend using the Core’dinations Dust Bunny to pick up the paper dust.
I adhered the Core’dinations card stock to a Whisper White card and then stamped a More Merry Messages greeting in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock. I punched out the greeting with the Decorative Label Punch and used dimensionals to hold the greeting in the Flourish Designer Frame. I added a Mini Brad at each end of the frame using scissors to trim the ends of the brad so they weren’t visible extending beyond the frame.
I peeled the backing off of the dimensions and used them to attach the Flourish Designer Frame to the card. I thought it still needed a little more accent so I tied a bow of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon and added it below the frame.
The Core’dinations Card Stock is available in three great Stampin’ Up! colours. Check them out below.

To me, Simple Saturday stamping means card making in 5 – 10 minutes. And card making can’t be simpler than when you use the pre-printed Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags on a card. The tags are each 4-1/2″ x 3-1/8″ so the size is just right for a card. All that you need to do is add a stamped greeting. I used Cherry Cobbler ink on all three cards with various images from the More Merry Messages stamp set.
I hadn’t plan to order these tags quite yet because I thought I wouldn’t get around to using them until closer to Christmas. But when Stampin’ Up! had a promotion offering an additional discount on these tags to demonstrators I decided to order them now. (Additional savings – another great reason to join Stampin’ Up! today.)
When you purchase the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags, you will receive 25 tags for $4.95. That’s less than 20 cents a tag. I added a strip of the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack behind each card for more colour. These print paper sheets are so perfectly sized for card making it’ll be tough to pick a favourite.
So whether you want quick and easy cards, cards to make with kids or simply economical Christmas Cards this year, order these tags today.
