To stamp or not to stamp?
I had fun making both of these cards but only one required stamping. My starting point for both cards was the same – a layer of Watermelon Wonder paper from the Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper adhered to a Whisper White card.
Next, I added a piece of White Corrugated Paper and some White Perfect Accents to both cards. And then I went in two different directions.

I kept this card clean and simple – no stamping.
The flowers were punched with the Petite Petals Punch and “hello” was made with the Greetings Thinlits.

This card took a little bit longer to make. The flower is from the Wild About Flowers stamp set and was stamped in Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush inks.

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is less than a week away. The weather is wonderful and still pretty warm but the grocery store has cranberries and turkeys on sale so it must be time. I took a break from my menu planning today to stamp a fall themed card with the Acorny Thank You stamp set, Acorn Builder Punch and some Into the Woods paper and wood elements.
The colours are Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.

Let’s be honest. Our stamping supplies are an investment. That’s why I love it when a fabulous punch like Festive Flower Builder can be used year round.
For this thank you card, I used the punch to make a small flower that can be used for all types of cards and all types of occasions.
I selected a gold theme that carries through the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack, Gold Metal Button, Gold Cording Trim and Gold Embossing Powder.
The sentiment is from my favourite thank you set of greetings – One Big Meaning.

I thought I would let the Watercolor Words stamp set live up to its name and make a couple of watercoloured cards. For both of these cards, I used Watercolor Paper and inks in Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry.

For this card, I stamped the flower to cover the paper except for a border on each side that I covered with post-it notes. After stamping with VersaMark ink, I heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Then with an Aqua Painter, I added 1″ or so bands of each colour. I find it best to let each colour dry for a bit before adding the next band of colour.

A tag made of Watercolor Paper and watercoloured with Calypso Coral ink was added to the card with Calypso Coral Seam Binding Ribbon.

For this card, I stamped with the inks onto Watercolor Paper and then gently misted the paper with water in a Spritzer.
It is best to add just a few sprays of water and then let it sit for a minute or two. You can always add more water but you want to avoid the inks running too much on the card.

I stamped and heat embossed the greeting and another flower onto Vellum as an overlay to complete the card. If you add a glue dot to each corner, the paper will be attached without too much adhesive showing through.

It’s so easy to make card with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and coordinating Leaflets Framelits Dies. Even in non-traditional fall colours like Bermuda Bay and Silver.

I tied a bow with the Silver Cording Trim and adhered the ends to the back of the layered piece before assembling the card.

I love the intricate detail on the new Peaceful Wreath Photopolymer stamp set. The wreath, bow and evergreen bough all have such fine lines including the leaves and berries.
This week I was wondering how embossing powder would look on the Red Foil paper and decided to give it a try in white. It actually worked really well but I definitely needed to use the embossing buddy very generously. I applied the embossing buddy, stamped the image in VersaMark ink and then applied the white embossing powder tapping off the excess powder. I did have to work quite quickly with the heat gun because the paper seemed to want to start to buckle. I think it was actually the backing of the paper detaching from the foil paper itself. Thankfully it was not visible from the front.
With the co-ordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits, I cut out the bow and “Joy” from Thick Whisper White card stock. The stamped words “to the world” from the stamp set work so well with the paper Joy, don’t they?
Have you ordered the Fine-Tip Glue Pen yet? This is a must have for adhering small and narrow pieces to your card. Love it!
To finish the card, I layered Whisper White and Real Red card stocks behind the Red Foil embossed piece.
