Create an easy color block background using your clear blocks. Stamp your blocks directly into ink and then stamp onto paper. That’s it. For this card, I used So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.
I then stamped various leaves from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set onto the color blocks with Early Espresso ink and added a greeting from the same stamp set.
The two corners were punched with the Corner Punch. I actually hadn’t planned to round the corners but I got a little bit on ink on one of the corners so I punched.
The weather here is going to be cool this long weekend so the fall theme works. Another quick card for Simple Saturday. Enjoy!

When stamping with metallics like silver or gold, a little goes a long way. Using white or another neutral colour helps to show off the metallic colour.
For this card, I heat embossed the one of the greetings from the Flurry of Wishes Photopolymer stamp set onto the middle of the card and created a peek-a-boo circle with the 1-3/8″ circle punch for the gold embossed snowflake. Stampin’ dimensionals added height between the two Whisper White layers.
The layers underneath are Gold Foil Sheets and Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack paper.
I definitely use embossing powders to create Christmas cards more than any other type of cards. But with results like this, I understand why. Quick and easy elegance.

The Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set includes all your Halloween basics including a spider, witches hat, skull and crossbones and more. Oh, yeah and an owl, too.
The card itself was made with the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper and Happy Haunting Cardstock Pack.
To make the owl, I heat embossed the stamped image with black embossing powder and cut it out with the coordinating framelit from the Boo To You dies.
The eyes are rhinestones that I coloured with an orange Sharpie marker.
To make the owl show up better on the card, I placed a 2-1/2″ Circle punched piece behind the image.
A really cute card for anyone.

This was such a simple card to make. It really is just the basics – stamps, ink and paper.
I used a marker to draw webbing behind the spiders.

I love snowflake stamp sets like this one, Flurry of Wishes. This is a stamp set that can be used for Christmas cards but also for winter themed birthday, thank you and other occasion cards.
If you purchase the stamp set as part of a bundle, the Snow Flurry punch is included and you save 15% off purchasing the items separately.
The colours on this card are Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate inks and card stocks. I added Iced Rhinestone Embellishments to the center of the snowflakes as well as the smaller Rhinestone Basic Jewel Embellishments.
The “Merry Christmas” greeting was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder to finish the card.

No matter how many times I look through the catalogue, I still find products that I hadn’t noticed before.
I want to draw your attention to some newish products that you may not have noticed – the Decorative Masks on page 157. And starting at just $3.75 a set, they are a bargain. There are three to choose from – Happy Patterns, Hearts & Stars and Dots & Stripes.
For my cards, I used the Happy Patterns decorative mask set to make these great backgrounds. I found it helpful to use pieces of painters tape to hold the masks in place over the card stock.

I made this simple rainbow background with the Brights Collection of inks and sponge daubers. From left to right, I used Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo.
To add the greeting, I adhered”happy” from the Hello You Thinlits to a Window Sheet and then stamped “birthday” from the Endless Wishes Photopolymer stamp set onto the Window Sheet with black StazOn ink. I usually prefer to use an ink other than Stazon with photopolymer stamps but for the Window Sheet I needed the Stazon. When using StazOn and Photopolymer stamp sets, it is important to clean you stamps soon after using and to not use the Stazon cleaner.
The black sequin stars and heart are from the Metallic Sequin Assortment and just a little bling to the card.

For this card, I applied VersaMark ink to the Whisper White Thick card stock using direct to paper. It helps to have a well inked stamp pad to get the ink evenly over the paper.
After removing the mask, I added silver embossing powder to the top third, gold embossing powder to the middle and black embossing powder to the bottom. You want to apply all three powders before heat embossing. Apply one colour of powder and tap off any excess before applying next colour.
I added a greeting from the One Big Meaning stamp set on a banner punched with the Triple Banner Punch.
To finish, I added a Pansy Punch flower made with the White Filter Paper. It’s easiest to punch if you do several layers of filter paper at once. I punched four at once and used 16 punched flowers total.
