Need a quick card? Or maybe you need to make a lot of cards?
A super easy card like this one can save you time and money for supplies.
I stamped the flower image from the Remarkable You stamp set in black ink and added the greeting. With a ruler and a basic black marker, I drew the lines around the outside of the card. Finally, I coloured the flower with an Aqua Painter and Bermuda Bay ink. A cluster of Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the center of the flower completes the card.
Super easy, right?

The last few days I have been showcasing some of the new stamp sets and products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue for 2015-2016 by Stampin’ Up! Canada. Don’t forget to request your free copy today.
But if you want to start your Christmas Cards now, there are holiday themed stamp sets on pages 67-72 of the current catalogue as well. Stamps set like Lots of Joy which I used for one of my cards today. This stamp set has 10 images including four greetings, to/from, an ornament, tree, postage stamp and more. A fun plaid design is featured throughout the set.
For both of these cards, I used the same layout just changing the stamp set and embellishments on each. Each card uses the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch with a frame of paper-pierced dots made with the Updated Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Stampin’ Pierce Mat and Paper-Piercing Tool as a starting point.
Even though the same layout was used for both cards, you can see that it is possible to get two entirely different looks by changing up the colours, theme and accessories.

For this Christmas Card, I used the Lots of Joy stamp set with the Merry Moments designer series paper. The colours are Real Red and Crumb Cake with Whisper White.
The Tree Punch was punched twice, once in the designer series paper and once in Crumb Cake. By placing the Crumb Cake tree behind the patterned paper tree it really makes the trees stand out. The greeting was stamped in Real Red but I cheated and used a Cherry Cobbler button from the Regals Designer Buttons pack. That’ll be our secret, okay? Topping the button is a small bow of linen thread to cover the button holes and finish the card.

For this Happy Birthday Card, I choose the greeting from the Butterfly Basics stamp set with the English Garden designer series paper. The colours are Mint Macaron, Lost Lagoon and Blushing Bride.
The butterfly was cut out with the Bold Butterfly Framelits for the Big Shot and the Blushing Bride card stock. The greeting was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink and punched out with the Triple Banner Punch.
I had decided to add a few – may 3 or 5 – Pearl Basic Jewels around the circle to highlight the outside frame. But it didn’t look quite right so I kept on going until the circle was almost complete. I wouldn’t recommend this for every card but I think it works here. Do you think it’s too much?

These cards highlight one of my stamping weaknesses – Scribble Flowers. I must have scribble flowers.
I think it’s because I’m reminded of a favourite stamp set that I had long ago but I just can’t say no to scribble flowers. And so I had to order the Watercolor Words stamp set so I could make cards like these.
Using just three colours of ink and card stock, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder, I created a variety of cards even though the stamped image repeats itself.
I partnered the three main colours with black including candy dots, designer series paper, ink and card stock. I also use heat embossing for two of the cards to make the addition of ink with daubers easier.
The Watercolor Words stamp set also includes a great range of greetings including just for you, happy birthday and love plus you’re the best, hope and hooray to cover almost every occasion. Other images include a heart, star, leaf and smaller flower.
This is a fabulous stamp set for a beginner or someone who has been stamping for a long time.
So. what type of images are your must haves? Leave a comment and let me know.

I created this card with Thick Whisper White card stock embossed with the Large Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder. The black and white striped piece is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. Each flower was heat embossed with white embossing powder and coloured with Bermuda Bay, Pool Party or Wisteria Wonder ink. The leaves are Wild Wasabi.

Each flower was stamped several times in Bermuda Bay, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party inks to make the colorful background. The card stock layers are the same colours. I choose Basic Black as an accent including the black Neutrals Candy Dots in the center of the single flower.

I stamped the scribble flowers from Watercolor Words with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Using sponge daubers, I added Bermuda Bay, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party inks. After using the Triple Banner punch to make the greeting piece, I added three white Neutrals Candy Dots.
